The fields reveal modest semi-reflective tendencies as the coin dips into a light. The 1876-CC double eagle has a mintage of 138,411 pieces. As one of the more readily obtainable Carson City Mint double eagles, the 1876-CC is popular with mintmarked type collectors as well as series specialists.
