The example offered here is broadly margined and impressively inked. Bold overprint embossing is clearly evident from the back of the note. Just three finer examples of the catalog number have been certified by PMG.Series of 1880 $10 Legal Tender Notes are known with three back styles. Style 1 (seen here) displays the series date outside of the main back design in the left and right margins. Style 2 removes the series date from the margins and adds one inside the open field on the left side of the back design.
