This large brown spiked Treasury Seal variety 1880 $5 Legal Tender Note bears the engraved signatures of Treasury officials Bruce and Wyman. Collectors are fortunate that there are a number of high grade examples of this popular "Woodchopper" type. The plate A example offered here is well margined and boldly printed with a sharply detailed Treasury Seal at right.
