A pleasing "royal" type struck on a fairly round planchet, this charming specimen exhibits some moderate wear, but with all design elements observed and offering a charming cabinet tone. Like many of this issue, this piece was holed and has since been plugged and repaired. A solid representation for this difficult type, also featuring a minor doubling on the edge date, giving the appearance of 1616 (the second 16 is over the 69).
