Gem Mint State.Beautiful medium brassy-gold surfaces are sharply struck and fully lustrous. This popular type was referred to as "Bramhalls token" by contemporary catalogers. It was one of the first pieces produced for Abraham Lincolns presidential campaign of 1860. Writing in the 2015 reference <em>Lincolns Metallic Imagery</em>, Paul A. Cunningham explains:<p><em>"This is one of the early political tokens struck for the Lincoln campaign in 1860. A large number were issued and distributed by the political clubs...William Leggett Bramhall had this produced by the Waterbury Company, Waterbury, Connecticut."</em><p>Two obverse designs are known with the first, represented here, identifiable by the presence of an inverted wreath and star around the central inscription NOT ONE CENT, as well as the date 1860 at the lower border.From the Q.
