AU Details--Environmental Damage (NGC).With all major design elements boldly to sharply defined and the surfaces predominantly glossy copper brown in appearance, there is a lot of "coin" here to tempt the high grade type collector. The NGC qualifier concerns an arcing band of rough, scaly charcoal-black that bisects the lower reverse. The conditionally challenging Classic Head cent is typically offered in grades below AU, and with more extensive surface problems than offered here. Noyes Die State B/B.
