ROMAN REPUBLIC. C. Postumius. AR Denarius, Rome Mint, 73 B.C. NGC Ch EF.Cf. Cr-394/1 (for type); cf. Syd-785 (same). Obverse: Draped bust of Diana right, with bow and quiver over shoulder; Reverse: Hound springing right; below, spear right. Deeply toned, with some hints of gold around the devices. This issue exists in two types, one of which features an A in the exergue below the moneyers name. Since the reverse is slightly off center, a more certain attribution as to the specific type cannot be determined.
