(6), 3-380 pp. Boarded typographical depictions of bank notes organized 3 by 9 to a page.Distinguishing Features: The volume is essentially identical to the 1859 4th Quarterly addition with some minor changes to the index pages. Notes: This is among the rarest editions by year to obtain and missing from most collections. The Newman Part XI description discusses this observation as follows: An exceptionally rare edition, lacking from the Champa, Bass and Ford libraries. Intriguingly, the ANS Library has a copy of the 1859 edition also titled as being the fourth quarterly edition. Rather well-preserved, with only some chipping near the top and bottom of the spine. Very good or better. This example is vastly superior condition. Within its superb new binding by Sam Ellenport, it is internally Very Fine or better. Fresh and bright.
