The Battle of Lexington of April 19, 1775 is commemorated on this medal, with a soldier standing in his plowed field, and Samuel Adams famous quote WHAT A GLORIOUS MORNING FOR AMERICA around. The planned events of the day became a sensation as 100,000 people swarmed into the town of 2,300 residents for the event, overwhelming locals of the small farming village. Only 200 bronze impressions were produced, this one of the finest certified examples of this important commemoration of the Battle of Lexington.
