1785 Connecticut Copper. Miller 4.3-A.2, W-2365. Rarity-3. Mailed Bust Right. VF-20 (PCGS143.7 grains. Mostly tan on the high points with a faint rose nuance, while the fields and recesses are slightly deeper steel. Trivial porosity is seen under magnification in the protected areas, but much of the coin is smooth. A couple of light natural fissures are noted around the neck, back of the head, and flanking the date, but only that along the throat is immediately apparent. Well centered with strong legends and date for the grade. From the Twin Leaf Collection of Connecticut & Massachusetts Coppers.
