Native gold specimen in quartz crystal matrix. Approximately 75 x 45 x 40 mm.A mass of native gold protruding from a quartz crystal, the gold being dusky and deep in tone. The gold is in an interesting crystalline form, perhaps best described as flattened and interfolded, almost flower-like in presentation from one angle. Some smaller quartz deposits are noted within the folds, while it is also clear that the gold continues in thin veins throughout the matrix. A fascinating natural specimen of attractive size.
