1907-D Liberty Head Double Eagle. MS-65 (PCGS).Beautiful golden-orange surfaces are fully struck, intensely lustrous and uncommonly well preserved for both the type and issue. The Denver Mints second and final contribution to the Liberty Head double eagle series has a mintage of 842,250 pieces. The Mint State population is thought to be in the mid to high four-figure range, making the issue readily obtainable in an absolute sense. Gems such as this, however, are scarce from a condition standpoint and enjoy strong demand among todays discerning gold collectors. From the Greenway Collection.
