The 1894-O is a scarce issue by late date New Orleans Mint eagle standards, certainly more so than a relatively generous mintage of 107,500 pieces might imply. Foreign bank hoards have yielded comparatively few examples, most of which are confined to the lowest Mint State grades (read: MS-60 and MS-61).
