1841 Braided Hair Cent. N-3. MS-64 BN (PCGS).A satiny, lustrous example marbled in shades of caramel and chocolate-brown. A flaw in the planchet is apparent at the obverse rim around 3 oclock, but the surfaces are spared from noteworthy post-Mint defects. The dies are in their terminal state, represented by Noyes Die State C/D. The reverse legend is fully encircled by a network of cracks and the diagnostic die lines at the denticles are largely faded. Attractive and well-struck.From the Paradise Collection. Earlier ex Heritages sale of February 2018, lot 3093.
