During the period of the Republic of China, the famous politician was known as the Northern Tiger, he was the leader of the Anwei Clique, and Sun Yat-sens main crusade against the Law Protection Movement. From 1916 to 1920, he was the actual controller of the Peiyang Government. From 1924 to 1926, he was temporarily the leader of the Republic of China. On November 2, 1936, Tuan Chi Jui died at Shanghai Hongen Hospital.
