Fr. 309. 1880 $20 Silver Certificate. PCGS Currency Extremely Fine 40.This Decatur Twenty faces up as a grade as the circulation is extremely subtle. This type is well known for the reverse design and the word "Silver" being spelled out in the large letters at the center which was meant to instill confidence in the public while the notes circulated. PCGS Currency notes "Minor Restorations," in the comments section of the holder which is executed well enough that determining the location is difficult when looking through the encapsulation surface. There are only 60 examples in all grades combined. Any offering of this highly scarce design in an Extremely Fine grade and with this much appeal is rare and the present opportunity will certainly bring about strong interest from collectors.<p>From the Marc D.
