Dark steel gray surfaces are rough and pitted from years of immersion in sea water. Prominent planchet clips at 1 and 5 oclock relative to the obverse. A partial tree and date are evident, along with the letters SAT in MASATHVSETS, the Roman numerals XI in the denomination, and a few of the letters around the reverse periphery.From our (Stacks) sale of the Coins from the H.B.M.S.
