COLOMBIA. 1847 10 Reales. Bogotá mint. Restrepo 196.1. MS-64 (PCGS).A stunning example of this debut 10 Reales issue. Spectacularly toned in deep gray, blue, and gold on the obverse, closer to dusky mint brilliance on the reverse. Both sides are thoroughly lustrous and show dramatic cartwheel. The strike is full and the surfaces are essentially immaculate, showing just the most trivial natural striation at DIEZ on the reverse. One of the finest known survivors of this emission, one that is both historic and visually impressive.
