COLOMBIA. 1850 10 Reales. Bogotá mint. Restrepo 197.1. MS-65 (PCGS).Lettered edge. A stunning Gem survivor and a solid candidate for finest known. Beautifully original and thoroughly lustrous, with strong cartwheel over pearlescent silver gray surfaces. The surfaces are aglow with freshness and free of any significant flaws. The rims are somewhat softly defined, but the centers are fully detailed on both sides. This two-year type is generally scarce in high grade. In true Gem, this issue may be unique. Most recently, the Lissner MS-64 (NGC) sold for $5,640 in April 2017.
