COLOMBIA. Banco de la República. 5 Pesos Plata. Undated 1931 (overprinted on July 20, 1915). P-381.A superb example of another República type that is tough in any grade. The silver certificates commenced in 1932 and these back overprinted notes were a temporary measure awaiting the ABN engraved notes with 1932 engraved dates. Design face of the 5 Pesos 1915 P-323 note with orange back overprinted with five-line black emergency text. The colors are especially vibrant. A much lesser grade note sold in a Lyn Knight 2009 auction for $1,495. Of course the catalog value is ridiculously low. One of the finest known and vibrant like a new note.
