Bright paper and darkly printed inks are displayed along with neatly penned signatures of bank officers Reed and Langdon. The Montpelier National Bank was chartered in March of 1865 and issued more than $5 million into circulation over the course of its many years in operation before liquidating in January of 1935. The grading service mentions "Minor Repairs, Tears" on the back of the holder, though they do little to detract from this notes nice overall appearance.From the John Whitney Walter Collection.
