Mintmaster Thomas Beheim arranged this emergency klippe coinage during the first Turkish siege of Vienna by the forces of Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, which lasted from September 27 to October 15, 1529. Well struck with great detail on the obverse bust and reverse coat of arms. Numerous scratches throughout the surfaces account for the "details" grade, but their influence on the eye appeal is fairly limited.PCGS Genuine--Scratch, AU Details Secure Holder.
