Both sides are boldly struck and have lively satin luster. One of the leading condition rarities in the Indian half eagle series of 1908 to 1929, the 1915-S (just 164,000 pieces produced) is scarce to rare in all Mint State grades. With Choice and Gem-quality examples particularly elusive, this lovely MS-62 represents the finest realistically obtainable for most advanced gold enthusiasts.
