The Minted Ten-Cash Coins of China
PCGS MS-63 BN Secure Holder.
From the Q. David Bowers Collection.Ex: R. B. White.
CHINA. 10 Cash, ND (1903-05). PCGS MS-63 BN Secure Holder.CL-HB.05; Y-4; CCC-590; W-435 (A-5); Duan-2340. Missing dragons claw just above "S" of "CASH", 8-pointed stars on either side of dragon. A choice example of a type where worn specimens fill dealer junk boxes but nice pieces are seldom seen. The CL-HB.05 attribution crosses over to Woodward no. 436 (A-6), which has slightly different asterisks on each side of the dragon. Well struck with the fine details clearly visible without the aid of magnification. Pleasant mahogany patina with hints of original mint red amongst the devices. A lovely example sure to please.
