十文型骏马代用币。红铜製。天津造币厂。背面空白（非单面）。据推论，该纪念章由一高官下令定製，此人很可能是天津造币厰时任厂长，铸币以纪念其1918年马年出生的儿子。同款分别有三种面值：伍文、拾文、贰拾文，由于正面设计凸出複杂，所以背面留白。模具由沉模及轮毂压力机生产，并非普通的压印机所製。次年（1919年羊年），他又定製银质骏马代用币，以庆祝小女儿的诞生。本拍品铸打深峻，细节精緻，背面有细微坯饼瑕疵，底板柔和，棕色包浆诱人，与评级相当。值得作进一步研究。

CHINA. Szechuan. 10 Cash Commemorative Token, ND (ca. 1918). Tientsin Mint. PCGS MS-63 BN Secure Holder.28 mm. cf. Duan-3626. Struck in copper, reverse blank (not uniface). It is theorized that the production of these pieces was ordered by a high ranking official, thought to be the director of the Tientsin mint, in 1918 the lunar year of the horse to commemorate the birth of his new son. Three denominations were made (5 Cash, 10 Cash and 20 Cash), but due to their intricate high relief designs the reverses were left blank. The dies were produced by die-sinking and hubbing presses rather than the normal coining press. The following year in 1919(year of the goat) silver tokens were made to commemorate the birth of a new baby girl(see L&M-1000A). Sharply struck with good definition of the fine details. Lovely brown patina over smooth fields with a minor planchet flaw on the reverse accounting for the grade. An interesting series worthy of further in depth research.
