1920 Pilgrim Tercentenary. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC.，This golden-tinged half dollar has full mint luster and surfaces that are nearly smooth enough to warrant a full Gem grade. This popular half dollar type commemorates the 300th anniversary of the landing of the Pilgrims at the site of the future Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1620. The coins were authorized by the Act of May 12, 1920, with a maximum allowable mintage of 300,000 pieces. Two hundred thousand examples were struck in 1920, with the remaining 100,000 coins delivered in 1921. Neither issue sold out, however, and the net mintages after melting were 152,000 and 20,000 pieces, respectively.，From the A.J. Vanderbilt Collection. Acquired from Lopez & Associates, July 2009.，
