1889 Liberty Seated Quarter. Briggs 1-A. MS-65 (PCGS). CAC.,This is an incredibly beautiful Gem featuring a blend of cobalt blue, olive-gold, salmon pink and silver-apricot patina that is bolder and more extensive on the reverse. Both sides are well produced and preserved. The mintage was just 12,000 circulation strikes in an era when the need for new quarters was sharply reduced by the release of earlier dated silver coins that had been hoarded during the Civil War and Reconstruction eras.,From the A.J. Vanderbilt Collection. Acquired from Stacks, August 1968.,
