1923-S Lincoln Cent. MS-65 RB (NGC).,Offered is an exceptionally well produced, carefully preserved example of a conditionally challenging Lincoln cent. Although David W. Lange (<em>The Complete Guide to Lincoln Cents</em>, 1996) states, "Mushy coins struck from worn dies are the rule for 1923-S," this coin is sharply defined from the rims to the centers. Ample pinkish-orange luster remains on surfaces that are also lightly toned in pale olive-brown with streaks of light rose here and there. This attractive Gem will nicely represent this semi-key date issue.,From the A.J. Vanderbilt Collection. Acquired from Jack H. Beymer, April 2010; via T & J Collectables.,
