1840 William Henry Harrison. DeWitt-WHH 1840-7. Silver. Restrike. 40 mm. AU-58 (NGC).,Deep slate gray with attractive highlights of blue and golden olive. The tone is a bit lighter on the reverse. Some light laminations are noted on that side, as is a prominent rim cud near 6:00. According to Sullivan, originals were in white metal, with a limited series of restrikes produced circa the 1860s, numbering 11 in silver and a few more in copper, copper-nickel, brass and white metal.
