In fact, the only suggestion of this coins almost certain salvage provenance is some darker scale beneath the denomination. III is plain, as are all three characters of the mintmark and assayer combination. The top of the shield is flat, but other design elements are clear. Aside from the upper right quadrant of the cross, other elements on the cross side are plain.
