Oil City, Pennsylvania. Oil City Bank. Sept. 15, 1864. $1. Very Fine.,(PA-380 G2a) ABNC. Full green frame and green counters flanking the central vignette. Great vignette of Native Americans huddled around a fire. At the lower left a rare vignette of a canal lock and man on horseback adjacent. At the lower right corner is a female portrait. This is a boldly colored note with excellent vignettes. The Oil City bank is a popular one with collectors and this $1 type is rarely seen. Even circulation and mostly bright paper are observed. A small piece of the top left corner tip is absent.
