1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-64. Rarity-5-. Head of 1794. VG-8 (PCGS).，Pleasingly toned olive-copper surfaces present rather well for a heavily circulated early copper. Bold denticulation along the left obverse border is diagnostic of the variety, and it helps to explain the considerable detail remaining over the left-central design elements on that side. Right obverse periphery softly defined with central, upper and lower reverse blunt and virtually devoid of detail. Much of the reverse wreath is discernible, however, as are many of the letters in the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; uniformly denticulated border on that side. Scattered marks and pits in and around the centers are noted, shallow edge bruise at 3 oclock on the reverse. All in all, a suitable VG to represent this scarce and conditionally challenging die marriage of the 1794 Liberty Cap cent.
