Banque Nationale de Perse, obverse and reverse archival photographs showing designs for 100 rials, 1934. This example is the key to understanding this series of photographs, because fully printed colour trials exist of a 100 rial with this design. The bank name on this design is different, but all other elements are the same. It is clear the Bradbury took the 100 rial to the very final stage before it was decided not to go ahead with the series as a whole. Some elements of these designs were not wasted, but were used several years later. This reverse for example, was adapted for use when Bradbury printed the 1937 series.superb quality (2)
