Bust of Shakespeare to the right, his name above and: "THE SHAKESPEARE / BIRTHPLACE TRUST 1964 / 400TH ANNIVERSARY" below; Reverse: "WE SHALL NOT LOOK UPON HIS LIKES AGAIN / 1564-1964" surrounds a pair of nude figures reading a book with Comedy and Tragedy looking on. Original presentation case included. The set is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity noting that the platinum example is #50 out of a limited mintage of 50 medals.
