CHINA. Dollar Pattern Struck in Gold, ND (ca. 1916).Fr-unlisted; L&M-1116; K-1560 for type (unlisted plume variety); cf.KM-Pn44 (unlisted plume variety); cf.Hsu-10 (unlisted plume variety). Yuan Shih-kai as Hung Hsien. VERY RARE type with different plume on hat.<br /> The obverse shows light evidence of re-engraving on Yuan Shih-kais bust, done long ago. This is most noticeable on the sash which has had the finer details enhanced.
