Left end, Penn. Lower right, small female portrait "Mrs. Andrew Jackson". An extremely rare high denomination from this currency collecting hotbed. The two examples in the 1990 ABN Sale, lot #1530, had one partly intact and the other was a partial note. We sold a restored example for $6,462.50 in our March 2014 auction. The present specimen is free of any restoration. The plate impression is darkly inked. Just a light corner bend at lower left prevents a full uncirculated grade. The trim at right is just inside the frame of the design. An inspiring design type and quite desirable.
