Kirtland, Ohio. Kirtland Safety Society. March 4, 1837. $3. PCGS Extremely Fine 40 Apparent. Paper Toned; Small Edge Tear at Top Left.;OH-245 G6, Wolka 1424-08, Rust Figure 6. An important offering on this highly collectible issuer and certainly of a quality that will impress. These Three Dollar notes are always a collector favorite for this series and locating any in grades above Very Fine is quite rare. The note shows a very uni-form tone which does not impede the design detail. Just light folds account for the circulation along with the aforementioned tone and a small tear at upper left. Wonderfully sharp penned signatures of J. Smith Jr. and S. Rigdon. Four cameo profiles at the corners with "3" counters nested vertically between each. Certainly a lot that will attract significant attention from bidders.
