1916-S Indian Eagle. MS-61 (NGC).;A noteworthy survivor of an issue that is scarce to rare in all Mint State grades. Satiny in texture with dominant medium gold patina, a splash of warmer reddish-rose color graces the left half of the obverse. The strike is universally sharp to further enhance already strong eye appeal. The final Indian eagle dated prior to 1920, the 1916-S is among the more conditionally challenging in this series. This is a superior example for the assigned grade, most MS-61s that we have encountered being far more liberally abraded. Worthy of a premium bid.;
