1876-S Trade Dollar. Type I/I--Chopmark--EF-45 (PCGS).;Otherwise silver gray surfaces exhibit arcs of charcoal-russet patina along the left obverse and lower reverse borders. Several chopmarks are present on the obverse, in and around the center, with a particular concentration at the lower right border. For the reverse we note two chopmarks on the eagle, one at the scroll upon which the Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed, and another at the letters ER in AMERICA. Isolated portions of the design are obscured due to these chopmarks, but all major features are appreciable.;Purchased from Bowers and Merena Galleries, date not recorded. Company tag included.
