1876-CC Trade Dollar. Type I/I--Chopmark--AU-50 (PCGS).;Mottled reddish-russet peripheral toning enhances otherwise brilliant surfaces. Boldly defined save for those features affected by the chopmarks, this minimally circulated example also retains flickers of original satin luster. There are two chopmarks on each side, on the obverse at Libertys torso and legs, on the reverse at the eagles breast and left (facing) wing tip. Type I/I is the scarcer hub combination for chopmarked examples of the 1876-CC, the issue as a whole a key date trade dollar from the Carson City Mint with a limited mintage of 509,000 pieces.;
