拍品描述： CEYLON. Government of Ceylon. 50 Rupees, 1.7.1891. P-19s. Specimen. PMG Very Fine 20.Rare 19th-century 50 Rupees from Ceylon with a date not listed in the Banknote Book. Signatures are of E.N. Walker and F.R. Saunders. Two different red SPECIMEN stamps are seen on the front. A note that probably entered circulation and was turned into a specimen upon withdrawal, although the exact status of these remains unclear. However, their rarity is undisputed. A small annotation is seen on the back. This is the only specimen of this type, issued between 1885 and 1926, and like all 19th-century notes from Ceylon, of the greatest rarity.
