NGC AU, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 5/5.HGC-3, 1750H; Thompson-Unlisted; Muller-Unlisted. Obverse: Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon; Reverse: Athena seated left on throne, holding crowning Nike and with arm resting upon shield, spear behind; monograms to inner left and in exergue. Despite a prominent die crack in the upper field of the reverse, this wondrous example boasts a well centered strike upon an attractively toned flan of good metal. A great deal of dazzling luster emerges from the protected areas, making this a colossal overall representative of the type.Ex: Grand Haven Collection.
