Another rarely found Alexandria bank and a choice example. Stonecutter at center working on a segment of a decorative frieze destined for a temple that remains unfinished. Small ovoid "20" denomination counters at left and right. Decorative end panels may also be observed in the left and right margins. The left panel is emblazoned "TWENTY" while its counterpart at right is emblazoned with "ALEXANDRIA." A small subsidiary vignette of a scroll emblazoned "CHARTERED BY CONGRESS" seen alongside other implements of authority may be seen between the signature panels.From the Caine Collection.
