Obverse: Land tortoise with segmented shell; Reverse: Large square incuse with heavy skew pattern. A remarkable tortoise Stater struck in exceptionally high relief, with the shell projecting outward to an almost sculptural degree. Well-centered and of great metal quality. Pleasing moderate charcoal tone with traces of luster.
