Three signatures (Jeffries, Davis, Sumner) at left, signed by Gardner right. Made out to David Wait. Printed on laid paper. 205mm by 230mm. Intricate, wide floral pattern bordering on three sides; the top with line. Upper left, next to title, rattlesnake forms circle, enclosing standing patriot vignette wielding sword holding scroll of INDE/PEND/ENCE. Obligations in center. Engraved by Nathaniel Hurd. Written "Committee" left and "Treasurer" lower right. Rarity-5 (500 authorized). Fully accomplished, three paid interest endorsements vertical at right. Splits at margins in a few places, old repair on blank verso to one margin split and small split at center, several folds, good paper and nice visual appeal. An old pencil notation on the back includes mention of the 1935 value. Nice broad borders, a fine example of the famous Massachusetts Sword in Hand bond.
