(t) CHINA. Silver "Mint Sport" Dollar, Year 9 (1920). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. cf. L&M-908 (year 3); K-666E. Struck with two obverse dies. No doubt the product of ones free time at the mint, this intriguing and EXCEPTIONALLY RARE concoction pairs two obverse dies for the Yuan Shih-kai Dollar into the ultimate coin flip winner--assuming that one gets the chance to call "heads." Some minor hairlines from the noted cleaning are observed, but this curiosity is otherwise largely without handling, and offers some gunmetal gray hues along with hints of goldenrod. The first such instance of this type of mint sport that we can recall having, and the only such representative of the year that this cataloger could locate (with others in this vein utilizing obverse dies from year 3 [1914] instead).
