Small flintlock waistcoat pistol, British, ca. 1740s, marked with makers FARMER and GALTON and crowned-P and crowned-V touchmarks. 346 grams. 7-1/4" long, 4-1/4 barrel. This small pistol by Farmer and Galton of Birmingham, England, features an ornate inlaid wooden grip ending in a steel butt-cap with lifelike image of a bearded man, crowned P and V touch-marks on the lightly engraved steel barrel, Galton on one side, Farmer on the other, small nick in wooden grip, good working order.
