Long gold chain, 54.2 grams, 59-1/2" long, ex-Leocadia (1800), ex-Fismer, Treasure magazine cover (1992), Sedwick Auction cover (2007). A rather long chain in a closed loop that feels light due to the fact that the multitudinous spherical links are hollow cages, a bit aged in color (XRF tested 18-1/4K) but fully intact and clean, reportedly found by U.S. servicemen stationed in Punta Santa Elena during World War II and later marketed by famous salvor Captain Carl Fismer. From the Leocadia (1800), pedigreed to Sedwick Auction 2 (lot 469, pictured on the back cover of the catalog), found by Carl Fismer and accompanied by his photo-certificate and a signed cover of the August 1992 issue of Treasure magazine featuring him diving underwater while holding the chain.
