Graded "XF 45" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company. 重194.4克。“元昌利记滙号纹银”、“公估童佘段看”。中央及外侧戳记均深刻，铭文清晰。中央戳记的中心稍弱。 背面右边有早期造成的明显刮痕。现已包浆与其他部位融为一体。 灰色包浆悦目，图文之间轻微积土，原始而迷人。 BMC-Class LXVI Group I # 821. Weight: 194.4 gms. "元昌利記滙號紋銀" (Yuanchangli Bank, remittance bank fine silver), "公估童佘段看" (Inspected by public assayers Tong, She and Duan). This charming example boasts deeply impressed central and outer stamps with bold clear characters, though the central stamp does exhibit a bit of weakness, as is common for these issues. The assay stamps are slightly obscured from a shallow uneven strike, though the inscriptions are mostly clear. Close inspection of the reverse reveals several areas of the scratches from long ago, now toned over matching the rest of the ingot. Despite its shortcomings a handsome example with a pleasing gray patina and minor earthen deposits amongst the devices lending to its originality.
