A gem 20 Shilling note issued two months after the battle at Lexington, issued by "Resolve of the Assembly" without the permission of the Royal Governor. Despite this rebellious act, the English Coat of Arms and reference to King George III remained on the face. A full gem, with four ample to large margins, clear and fresh ink signatures and serial number, and premium paper quality. The nature print on the back is also quite bold and sharply detailed.
